After talking and discussing what I want to do with this project, I feel me continuing the whole craftsperson project. the extension of what i did last year being going to bigger companies and spaces to photograph various workers. rather than the people and their trade, maybe start looking at traces of people within their workspaces. This traces idea would be looking at someones working space and how they make it their own, another thing being having a portrait along side the workspace.
I have made contact with a group of craftspeople, who are interested in religious aspects of craft. The artists include iconographers and a stain glass maker. After talking with the artists, I hope to be shooting them soon. another being Morgan motors, who are a bespoke carmaker, who use various people of different crafts to create the cars. I hope to be able to get and photograph both of these spaces soon. Artists which are inspiring me to do my work and the idea of traces is Paul seawright's photographing the police force which explores a police station without looking at the actual officers. The other being Chris Killip's Pirelli Works, which is the opposite to seawright's where it's more based around the people and their workspace.
