The continuation from last weeks, led me to photographing my local garage. People who use their hands to in their jobs and their interesting places of work. The local garage specialise in vintage cars. I looked at two artists before doing this shoot, these two being Tom Barnes, an award winning portrait photographer. The work of Barnes in particular being his work with fishermen and other people on location.

The other being David Middleton, who has photographed lobstering and farm life. Photographing every aspect of everyday working, such as working on motors and doing their jobs. Love’s garage is five minutes walk away from my house; I thought would be a great photo shoot.

After about five/six attempts to gain access, I was able to photograph their garage and them working. I have captured an intimate set of images of the workers and their workspace.

Overall I am quite happy with how these images have come out. I feel they aren’t as strong as my previous set of images, which I have taken at the scrap metal recycling plant. The quality of the images is important to how the images are viewed and how they come across.

As you may have noticed from previous shoot, I don't have many portraits. The reason for this is because they don't want their images online. I am allowed to exhibit them.
