I have now documented Morgan Motor company, but remain slightly disappointed with the results. Having followed the idea of the previous artists I have mentioned, namely Paul Seawright, Chris Killip and Rachel Palmer. Sadly I wasn't able gain any level of interaction with the Morgan employees, due to prevailing health and safety regulations. As a result I wasn't able to use lighting similar to Killip or Palmer. The challenge did achieve a number of good images of which here are a couple of examples:
I found it fascinating documenting the individual elements and skill in producing them; being brought together to create a final product. Fortunately Morgan still use craftsman and age old techniques in production which are also coupled with modern technology. I do regret being unable to get closer to the craftspeople. So for my next shoot, I am looking to gain further intimacy with a group(s) of craftspeople. To this end I have a place in mind, I will keep you updated.
